NOMADICS led the way for recovery and resilience in the wake of Hurricane Irma in 2019. In partnership with NERIS, our team of expert analysts and technicians provided GIS development to inform environmental response strategies.

Specifically, NOMADICS produced a series of 10 data set analysis exhibits for each application site throughout the State of Florida (up to 8,000 sites). Each data set contained data pertaining to to historical preservation, floodplain management, wetlands, bald eagle habitats, air quality, airport clear zones, Coastal Barrier Resource System areas, and regulated sites (including superfund sites).

Our team also conducted spatial analysis to determine the presence or absence of regulated sites within one mile of each application site. We were also responsible for pertinent regulated site information to assist in analysis of potential environmental impact to application sites. These analyses were crucial to determining if the project requirements would be met and any subsequent assessments that these findings would trigger.
